On this edition of Trike’s Trax Bluntface recording artists Skin Drone who have 2 songs from their “Evocation” album            (Witching Hour,Salvation) featured on a new compilation album from Creative & Individual Arts CIA Volume 6  https://www.cia.rocks/ which is available on Bandcamp & contains  62 tracks of pure underground  INDIE gold that span many musical genres from metal to the avant-garde. Skin Drone is Otto Kenzel – guitar,programming and Erik Martin -vocals, lyrics and although being over 1,000 miles apart, they sound like they are in the same collaborative workspace !!  Formed in 2014, Skin Drone’s sound contains elements of xxtreme metal, industrial and avant garde that takes morbid and occult atmospheres and rolls them into  a brutal and complex sound , both disturbing and intoxicating !! Besides all the great music on this compilation, also featured : Otto’s other project with filmmaker Russell Peters Evil Sex Party, Erik’s solo band Chasing Sanity and fellow Bluntface Records label mates, the always crusty Gravehuffer previously featured on Trike’s Trax http://trikestrax.com/2017/09/13/gravehuffer-your-fault/

Social Crash is a 4 piece band from Paris, France with their KILLER 10 song debut album “Burn Out” available both digitally and physically now on Wormholedeath !! Combining the best elements of punk/metal with satirical lyrics to give the Crash their distinctive metal/experimental punk sound !! Social Crash songs talk about different subjects like reality TV, globalization, money, power and life. The band was born in 2012 when metal guitarist Don Armando met punk vocalist Manu Wild and the rest as they say is history !! After collaborating and writing music for a couple of years, in 2015 they added drummer Wilson Raych and bassist Julien Harbulot and started bringing their music to the masses !! Skein – Deadweight

Skein is a five piece dark alt metal band from Tampere, Finland who are releasing their 2nd album “Deadweight” Sep 22/2017 via Inverse Records !! “Deadweight” was preceded by the 2014 concept and debut album “Of Wings Unfolding”, 3 EP releases “Children of Light”2012, “The Key I-III” 2011,self titled 2005 and a digital only release “Rapier” in 2016. These guys have been together since 2004 and paid their dues !! “Deadweight” opens with the track “Seduction” which does just that and seduces the listener to want more, as does every track thereafter !! Superb musicanship from soft & melodic to extremely heavy and killer vocals that alternate effortlessly between clean and scream.  Skein songs are based on personal experience, misuse of power and everyday life that produces a rawness and emotion that comes through in the music !! Besides the single and video “Bound”, my personal favs on the album are every song !! WICKED WICKED album and one of my favs at the moment m/m/  Get it at the Inverse store !!
