Presenting to you the debut album from Finnish stoner-rock group Rückwater entitled Supernova via Finnish indie label Inverse records. Killer heavy rock with a raw edge that combines heavy riffs, two lead singers and a dynamic drummer !! The story of Rückwater started with the birth of brothers Make vocals/guitar and Jape MacKone drums, meaning the band was already 2/3 formed at birth. With the addition of adopted 3rd brother, singer/bass player Jussi Vehman, Rückwater was born. Of course I joke, but these guys should have been brothers lol. From the opening riff I was hooked !! Rückwater reminds me a lot of a kickASS local band I follow, Diablo Strange. Heavy, raw stoner rock with a garage rock feel, these guys leave it all out there !! This band records their music LIVE !! That means what you hear on the record is essentially how the band sounds LIVE or what you hear is what you get. No preservatives and totally fucking old school !! Songs that are very easy to relate to. The frustration and BS that goes on in everyday life comes through in the lyrics and the way the band plays. Overall this is one of those albums where there is not one bad song !! The video singles Cruel Thing and Rat In A Jar are great, but these are the three that gave me a kick in the teeth !! Trike’s Top Trax : Once More With Feeling, Paragon Of BS, Rocket Fuel !! Highly recommend you fill your digital tank with some prime Rückwater !!
